The Gloucester Tall Ships Festival is located in the historic Gloucester Docks, which is just a stone’s throw from Gloucester Cathedral and is the most inland port in the country.
The event site can be accessed from 11am however the event starts at 12pm each day, running until 6pm.

The official event car park is is the Gloucester Quays car park, which has space for 1,400 vehicles. Follow the signs for Gloucester Quays.
Other car parks are available in the city. More information can be found here: Gloucester car parks – Gloucester City Council. Please note that Castlemeads Car Park will be closed to the public over the course of the weekend.
Disabled car parking spaces can be found in the Gloucester Quays car park, as well as the Eastgate Centre Rooftop Car Park and Hampden Way Car Park – all are within short walking distance to the festival site.

We can’t wait to welcome you to Gloucester for the Gloucester Tall Ships Festival, taking place over Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee Weekend. Please note that the event is taking place at Gloucester Docks, which is a working dockside. As such, there are areas both where the floor is uneven as well as a number of potential trip hazards – including mooring cleats on the quayside (where the vessels are moored).
With this in mind, the event organisers would like to advise that all guests wear sensible footwear, be careful with their footing around the event site and follow instructions from our event stewards. Otherwise, enjoy this lovely site over the Jubilee weekend – and take care and have fun!
The Gloucester Tall Ships Festival is a free to attend event taking place on Friday 3rd, Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th June, however guests are able to board the six majestic tall ships in the dock throughout the event weekend by purchasing a boarding pass for £5 at this link. You can also purchase a boarding pass which includes entry to the National Waterways Museum for £7.50 at the same link.

There are accessible toilets throughout the event site for use by all guests to the Gloucester Tall Ships Festival. You can find restrooms by the Herbert Warehouse by the dockside as well as next to the BBC Gloucester Gazebo at the opposite end of the Quays – a stone’s throw from the children’s activity area. On the Severn Road side of the docks, toilets can be found next door to the First Aid Centre close by to the Dry Dock. The Gloucester Quays Shopping Centre also has accessible toilets available for use throughout the event weekend.
If you’d like to bring along your four-legged friends, please feel free! We ask that all dogs are kept on leads throughout the event. Please note that if you are keen to board a tall ship as part of the festival, your dog will not be able to board.
